GREEN VALLEY – South Glengarry firefighters were able to quickly put out a garage fire here Wednesday night.

Fire Chief Vic Leroux told Cornwall Newswatch they originally got the call about a structure fire.

It was called in shortly before 6:30 p.m.

When firefighters from North Lancaster, Williamstown and Martintown got to the scene, they found smoke coming from a detached garage in the 20000 block of Park Crescent.

“There is (minimal) smoke damage to the contents of the garage and some structure damage,” Leroux said.

The cause of the fire is undetermined.
