River Kings’ winning streak snapped

CORNWALL – There was no love for the Cornwall River Kings – except in the stands – as the Laval Predateurs beat them 4-2 Sunday.

But 1,321 fans were in the stands for the Valentine’s Day game at the Ed Lumley Arena.

Scoring for Cornwall were Francois Ouimet and Keven Veilleux.

That snapped the River Kings four game winning streak – they had won six of their last seven.

On Friday night, the River Kings had beat the Trois-Rivieres Blizzard 9-3.

The River Kings travel to Jonquiere to take on the league leading Marquis Friday night (Feb. 19) and then are home Saturday (Feb. 20) to host the Trois-Rivieres Blizzard at 7:30 p.m.
