SLC women’s hockey team wins first invitational

SCARBOROUGH, Ont. – The St. Lawrence College Cornwall women’s hockey team defeated the host team to take their first invitational of the 2015-16 season.

The women Sharks downed the University of Toronto-Scarborough Maroons 2-1 on Friday.

The Sharks finished the tournament with a record of 3-1 and had outscored their opponents 14-6 in the four games.

Cornwall lost to Sault College 2-1 in the first game, but then blanked Georgian College 3-0 in game two and edged Fanshawe College 1-0 in game three.

SLC Cornwall is a strong contender for the Ontario Colleges Committee on Campus Recreation.
