CORNWALL – Various organizations have contributed nearly $37,000 in recent weeks to the Cornwall Hospital Foundation.

Those include donations from fundraising events, installments on MRI campaign pledges and contributions to the addictions and mental health programs.

The largest donation came from Nav Center, where its employees raised $19,000 through special events and activities.

Here’s a list of the latest donations made in recent weeks:

  • Kinsmen Club of Cornwall – $10,000 – the third installment toward the club’s $50,000 MRI campaign pledge.
  • Benson Group – $2,100 – a gift of money collected during three Benson Charity BBQs.
  • Centennial Choir of Cornwall – $3,000 – to support the addictions and mental health programs at CCH.
  • Zumba with Christal, Emilie Bonneville – $2,636 – the Zumba event raised money for breast cancer survivor Emilie Bonneville. She, in turn, donated the money to various charities. CCF received the money from community members, Zumba with Christal, Harvest, Blooms Cornwall and Lynn Wallace.

The money has been pouring in to cover the cost of the $400,000 chemotherapy department at the Cornwall Community Hospital.
