SD&G — Post-Christmas travelling could be a very slippery to end the weekend.
Environment Canada issued a freezing rain warning for the region around 11:30 p.m. Saturday night.
It says a mix of snow and ice pellets overnight will change to freezing rain sometime Sunday morning.
It’s expected to change to snow flurries later in the day but not before 5-10 millimeters of freezing rain is on the ground.
The weather agency said untreated road surfaces and sidewalks could be very slippery and there could be hydro outages.
