CORNWALL – A teenage boy is facing charges after a fire alarm was pulled at a home for at-risk youth.

Cornwall firefighters were called to Laurencrest Youth Services at 510 Mercier Avenue yesterday (Thursday) for a tripped fire alarm.

City police were also on the scene, and arrested a 15-year-old boy.

He’s facing charges of triggering a false fire alarm and breach of court orders to keep the peace and to obey the rules at the Laurencrest home.

The youth, who can’t be publicly named because he’s a minor, has been released with a promise to appear in court at a later date.
