Winning lottery ticket sold in Cornwall

CORNWALL – Someone, possibly in the Cornwall-area, has a piece of paper worth $333,000.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation said Saturday that someone purchased a Lotto Max ticket which has a winning MaxMillions prize.

It’s $333,000 because the $1 million prize is shared with two tickets sold in other provinces.

Other Maxmillions winners were in Brampton, Kitchener, Markham, Toronto, Woodstock and partial winnings worth $500,000 in Brampton and Woodstock.

As for the big jackpot – $60 million – it was split by two tickets sold in Western and Atlantic Canada.

The person holding the winning ticket from Cornwall has a year to claim their prize.

Friday’s Lotto Max jackpot is $23 million.
