CHESTERVILLE – A North Dundas woman is facing a Highway Traffic Act charge in connection to the deadly crash in February which killed noted Morrisburg lawyer Peter Remillard.
SD&G O.P.P. said Thursday they have charged Catriona Kirkwood, 40, of North Dundas with careless driving.
Police can’t say what led them to lay the careless driving charge because it’s evidence that will be submitted in court.
Remillard died February 24 when his BMW sport utility vehicle collided head on with a Dodge sport utility vehicle on County Road 7 in North Dundas.
Kirkwood suffered serious non-life threatening injuries.
She will appear in an Ontario Court of Justice court in Cornwall Aug. 18.
