CHESTERVILLE – The driver of an SUV has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act in relation to a deadly weekend crash just outside the village.

Ian Frost, 69, of Ottawa (corrected at the source, previously reported as Manotick Station) died when his motorcycle collided with an SUV at the intersections of County Road 43 and 7 on Saturday afternoon.

The sport utility vehicle driver, Sandy Holder-Cobb, 45, of Brooklyn, N.Y. is charged with failing to yield.

Investigators say the northbound SUV on County Road 7 entered County Road 43 while the motorcycle was travelling west on County Road 43.

Frost was pronounced dead at hospital.

Holder-Cobb will appear in an Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on Oct. 27.
