CORNWALL – It looks like Coun. Brock Frost is planning to stay put as a Cornwall city councillor.
In an interview with TV Cogeco, Frost had a change of heart after emailing local media June 2 (Cornwall Newswatch, Seaway News and the Standard-Freeholder) saying he decided to step down from council, effective July 1.
He told The Source’s Todd Lalonde Wednesday that he had a quick thought about resigning and acknowledged that the email was, in fact, sent out.
But he dismissed the move suggesting that if an elected official resigned there would have be a news released from city hall.
In the interview, Frost also addressed the fraud and forged document-related charges he’s facing in Levis, Que. and acknowledged they do involve him.
Frost had earlier denied any knowledge of the charges.
He now said he plans to vigorously defend himself.
