AKWESASNE, N.Y. – Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police are warning people in Akwesasne to be on alert after two men violated their parole orders.

John D. Logan, 30, and Edward M. Logan, 27, may be armed and are considered dangerous, said police.

Both are wanted by tribal police for alleged parole violations.

The Logan brothers were convicted on assault charges and sent to state prisons in Gouverneur and Malone after a man was shot in the leg during an altercation at a home in 2012, according to the Watertown Daily Times.

Both were out on parole but now appear to be on the run and are believed to be in Akwesasne.

The older brother, John, is five foot nine inches tall and 217 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. The younger, Edward, is five foot ten inches tall and 175 pounds with brown hair and eyes.

Police believe they may be in the territory because they have family and ties to Akwesasne.

If you see these men you’re asked not to approach them but to call Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police at 518-358-9200.
