NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. – Cornwall’s Tony “Lightning” Luis goes into the ring tonight (Friday).

This will be Luis’ third fight of the year when he goes head-to-head against Edward Valdez at the Seneca Niagara Casino and Hotel.

The bout, televised on CBS Sports Network, is for a regional championship.

Luis, 27, started 2015 with a win over Karl Dargan during the Friday Night Fights in January but lost in the WBA interim lightweight title when he took on Derry Mathews during a UK match in April.

Luis is 19-3 with seven knockouts.
