WILLIAMSTOWN – The Township of South Glengarry says summer programming in Paul Rozon Memorial Park won’t be affected by the tearing down and rebuilding of the Williamstown clubhouse.

A suspicious fire April 3 destroyed the clubhouse on the west side of the park.

In a statement released today (Wednesday) the township says summer camp and soccer programs won’t be affected as crews demo the building and start the rebuild.

The summer camp will be headquartered in the nearby Char-Lan Recreation Center and will also make use of the splash pad in the park.

Some temporary washrooms will also be set up in the park until the new building is up.

The township did have insurance on the building and staff are putting plans together to start the construction.
