Three vehicles impounded over weekend

SD&G – It was a fast Friday for some motorists but it ended up taking them longer to get to their destination.

Two drivers had their vehicles impounded for a week and their licence suspended for the same amount time under Ontario’s street racing law.

SD&G O.P.P. were conducting radar enforcement on Highway 401 in South Stormont over the weekend.

An officer pulled for a vehicle around 11:30 a.m. Friday morning clocked at 155 kilometers an hour. A South Dundas woman, 37, was charged.

Two hours later police caught after vehicle going 164 kilometers an hour in the same area. A Kingston man, 65, was charged.

On Saturday afternoon, an SD&G O.P.P. officer stopped a vehicle travelling 159 kilometers an hour. A male driver, 41, was charged.
