CORNWALL – A silent auction has raised over $50,000 for the Children’s Treatment Center.
The Corus Cares for Kids annual silent auction was held Friday night with roughly 200 people in attendance at the Best Western Parkway Inn raised $50,798.
Dozens of items auctioned off raised nearly $23,000 combined with a single item which raised nearly 20-grand and a $9,000 hockey ticket raffle.
The Children’s Treatment Center is an agency that helps three programs for children and adolescents who are the victims of sexual and physical abuse. It runs on no government money and relies on donations from the community.
Since 1996, the center has provided treatment for over 2,200 children.
