SD&G – The edge of a winter storm tracking through the northeastern U.S. will give us high winds over the next 24 hours or so.

Environment Canada has issued a blowing snow advisory for Cornwall and SD&G as a northeast wind kicks up with gusts up to 50 kilometers an hour.

The high Monday will be minus 16 but will feel like minus 34.

The weather agency says the wind, combined with 5-10 centimeters of falling snow, will make it hard to see on the road with visibility cut to 500 meters or less at times.

Blowing snow advisories are issued when the wind is expected to create poor visibility of 800 meters or less for at least three hours.
