NORTH DUNDAS – A man from Morewood is $100,000 richer after hitting a lotto jackpot.
Wallace Cinnamon won on an Encore number on his Lotto Max ticket from Jan. 9.
The IT professional from Shared Services Canada says he stopped at a gas station on his way home from work and decided to check his tickets.
“The words ‘Big Winner’ flashed on the screen. My wife (Nadine) started screaming,” Cinnamon recalls.
He tells Cornwall Newswatch he plans to use the money to pay off debt, take his wife on a honeymoon they never got to have and put some away in an education fund for their three children.
Cinnamon also runs a small business specializing in computer repair and consulting call CinnTech.
The winning ticket was purchased at a restaurant and pizzeria in Vanier.
