SUMMERSTOWN — One person has been treated at the scene by paramedics after a plane crash.
The small turboprop plane crashed and flipped over in a corn field just east of the Summerstown Airport just after 10 a.m. Thursday morning.
O.P.P., South Glengarry firefighters from Glen Walter and Williamstown and Cornwall EMS were on the scene on Airport Road.
It appears the plane crashed while trying to land at the airport about 2,000 feet away.
One person was reportedly injured but the extent of their injuries is not known.
The airport manager was on scene speaking with police and firefighters and another man, possibly the plane’s owner, could be seen being interviewed by police.
