CORNWALL – The Cornwall River Kings were able to defeat the Laval Predators 5-3 Saturday night at the Ed Lumley Arena.
Francis Lessard opened up the scoring in the first.
Derek Famulare had a single in the second with a pair added from Anthony Courcelles.
The River Kings further solidified their lead in the third period with a shorthanded goal from Pierre-Luc Faubert.
Cornwall out shot Laval 30-24.
There were a reported 1,469 fans at the Cornwall Civic Complex for the game.
The River Kings are on the road Sunday afternoon when they visit St-Georges at 2 p.m.
