CORNWALL – A Cornwall woman has been arrested, accused of cheating Ontario Works for over a year.

Police allege the woman, 36, had submitted forged child care earning exemption forms from May 2011 until July 2012, resulting in an overpayment.

Police did not say how much the woman was overpaid.

The Ontario Works Office notified Cornwall police and after an investigation a warrant was issued for the woman’s arrested.

She attended police headquarters and was arrested Wednesday but later released with a promise to appear in court Jan. 27.
