Editor’s note: The fog advisory was lifted at 2:39 a.m. Wednesday and the freezing rain warning was lifted later in the morning.
SD&G – The possibility of freezing rain Tuesday night around SD&G has prompted Environment Canada to issue a freezing rain warning for the area.
There’s also a fog advisory in effect as of 9:34 p.m.
Meteorologists say the freezing rain will change to rain near the St. Lawrence River while inland areas might experience a mix of rain and snow.
The temperature is hovering around the freezing mark but is expected to go up to +2 on Wednesday.
Environment Canada is advising motorists to take care while driving.
The mild, moist air mass is also creating fog patches in some areas but conditions are expected to improve Wednesday morning.
