CORNWALL – Two Cornwall families are making alternate living arrangements Sunday night after an early morning fire.

Cornwall firefighters were called to a semi-detached home on Branch Drive just after 3 a.m.

Branch Drive is a tiny cul-de-sac in a subdivision southeast of Brookdale Avenue and Tollgate Road.

Firefighters tell Seaway News the blaze was accidental, which caused a lot of damage to the rear of the home.

The one family with five children is staying at a hotel while the other family has found shelter with relatives, said the paper.
