CORNWALL – A man and a woman had to be treated for cuts and stab wounds after being attacked by a knife-wielding man in Cornwall.
City police say an argument started early Sunday morning at a home on Eleventh Street between two occupants and a man who “threatened to kill anyone who got in his way.”
A 21-year-old woman tried to intervene was cut on the leg, police say.
The suspect then stabbed a 26-year-old man in the chest near the shoulder before fleeing the scene.
Police later found the suspect at a Fifth Street business and arrested him without incident.
Investigators say the victims and the suspect knew each other.
A 29-year-old man from Cornwall is facing two counts of assault causing bodily harm, threats to life, possession of a dangerous weapon and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace.
He was held for a bail hearing.
