High fliers on Highway 401 have vehicles impounded

SD&G – Two drivers from Montreal and another from Brampton were left without their wheels over the weekend.

The three were caught by SD&G O.P.P. for excessive speeding on Highway 401 through South Glengarry.

The first driver – a 47-year-old man from Brampton – was allegedly driving 154 km/h on Friday night.

The second – a 21-year-old Montreal man – was caught just after midnight Saturday morning going 152 km/h.

The final speedster – a 32-year-old Montrealer – was pulled over just before noon Sunday after he was allegedly clocked at 152 km/h.

All three drivers had their vehicles impounded for a week and their licences suspended for the same amount of time under Ontario’s street racing law.
