MORRISBURG – Just over 35,000 people came through the gates at Upper Canada Village this year for Pumpkinferno.
The St. Lawrence Parks Commission released attendance numbers Wednesday for the fall pumpkin-themed exhibits and displays.
There were just over 38,000 last year and 38,000 in the launch year.
“This year we are right on target considering some of the very poor weather we had on some of our key busy weekends,” said St. Lawrence Parks Commission spokeswoman Susan Le Clair in an email to Cornwall Newswatch.
“Our team is now quickly dismantling and storing our Pumpkinferno displays to get ready for an exciting Alight at Night event that will open on Friday, December 5,” said Upper Canada Village Manager Geoff Waycik.
There are two new experiences at Alight at Night this year – a ferris wheel and Crysler Hall will become a Victorian-style Christmas theme with Saint Nick’s Merry Mansion.
