CORNWALL – Hockey players from Cornwall’s Ontario Hockey Academy will be doing a different version of Halloween Monday.

The students are going door-to-door – wearing their maroon, gold and white jerseys – collecting food for the Agape Food Bank.

Hockey schedules meant they couldn’t collect on Friday.

This is the fourth year in a row the canvassing has taken place and will concentrate on the Riverdale, center town, the Brookdale-Tollgate area, Sunrise Acres and Vincent Massey Drive area.

The OHA says the student athletes learn about civic responsibility and volunteerism through the event.

“The Agape Center plays such an important role in providing support in the Cornwall community. We are truly happy that we can play a role in ensuring the center is able to continue to meet our city’s needs,” said Principal Craig Thanasse.
