MASSENA – A high speed chase from Massena to Akwesasne has led to charges for a man from Hogansburg.
Police say a pursuit started early Saturday morning on state Route 37 in Massena after a state trooper allegedly clocked a driver at 114 mph (182 km/h) in a 45 mph (72 km/h) zone, according to the Daily Courier-Observer.
The chase continued east on state Route 37 and ended when the driver crashed on Raquette Point Road in Akwesasne.
Facing a slew of charges, including driving while intoxicated and third-degree fleeing a police officer, is 18-year-old Noah M. Ransom III of Hogansburg.
He was held on a $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
