Two arrested in South Glengarry break-ins

GLEN WALTER, Ont. – Two Cornwallites have been arrested in connection to a rash of break-ins on Paragon and Rae Roads in South Glengarry. Police say a Paragon Road homeowner discovered on Tuesday morning their power tools and alcohol were stolen. While police were investigating the crime several other residents reported break-ins and thefts from vehicles. Items taken included cell phones, credit cards, cash and jewellery. Police say seven properties were targeted. Police arrested a 47-year-old man on Tuesday and charged him with four counts of theft from a motor vehicle, six counts of trespassing, two counts of break enter and theft, possession of property obtained by crime and seven counts of failing to comply with a probation order. A 24-year-old woman was arrested yesterday and charged with four counts of theft, two counts of break enter and theft and six counts of trespassing at night. She appeared in a Cornwall court today.
