At Sunrise: Lamoureux Park
Early risers: 5:00am – Greet the sunrise with Tai Chi in the park (free event) Meet at gazebo near boat launch.

Daytime event: Native North American Travelling College, Cornwall Island Celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day
10am to 2pm – Lunch included with a visit to Akwesasne.
This is a rare opportunity to learn about Indigenous Culture and history, and enjoy a traditional lunch, songs, stories and dance. Cost is $30 including lunchReserve your spot at this link  or call 613 932-9452
Meet at 10am at Native North American Travelling College, 1 Ronathahon:ni Lane, Cornwall Island K6H 5R7
This is only 3km from the Seaway Bridge so it’s an easy bike ride and you can save the bridge toll!

Directions: Go across the Seaway Bridge, take the first left after the Peace Tree Mall onto Island Road – travel 1.3km – Travelling College is on the right. Car pool if you can or offer rides. No passport needed!

Evening: Lamoureux Park
5:30pm Picnic – bring your own food, blanket and bug spray; Introduction to Cornwall’s new arboretum; and family scavenger hunt.
7:00pm Guided Nature Walk of the Eco-Gardens with Dr Brian Hickey of the River Institute
8:30pm Sunset ceremony including drumming.
