School buses cancelled second day

SD&G – With another swath of freezing rain expected today and slick back roads across the region, school buses have been cancelled across Cornwall and SD&G for a second day (Friday, Jan. 26).

Student Transportation of Eastern Ontario (STEO) has cancelled all buses.

The French transportation consortium is not running because the French school boards are on a professional development (PA) day.

Schools remain open for those who can get to school.

This is the fifth time this season buses have been cancelled due to the weather. The last time was yesterday (Jan. 25).

A freezing rain warning is in effect with up to 10 millimeters (0.4 inches) of ice buildup expected today.

St. Lawrence College

St. Lawrence College has cancelled classes, labs and activities happening before noon today.

The college says afternoon classes are proceeding as normal.

It says students should check Blackboard for specific instructions or any changes to their particular courses or labs.
