CORNWALL – City police say a Saturday night shooting in a business complex at Vincent Massey Drive and Fourteenth Street West involved rival biker gangs.
Three people were injured – two from stab wounds and a third from a gunshot – after a fight broke out between the Outlaws and Loners motorcycle gangs in the parking lot, police said Monday.
The three victims were treated for their injuries, described as non-life threatening.
Police had initially been called about a disturbance around 8:20 p.m. on July 8.
Five people have been arrested and a list of charges is pending.
Cornwall Police Service Acting Chief Vincent Foy says a shooting is “concerning and alarming to members of the community” but notes instances like these are “rare” in Cornwall.
Police are also asking for witnesses or people with video of the confrontation to contact Detective Sgt. Mark Anderson at 613-933-5000 extension 2603.
