CORNWALL – The Cornwall Community Hospital says it’s called in outside help after discovering a cyber breach Tuesday.

In a statement at 11 p.m. Thursday night, CCH says it “identified a network issue” and then found there had been a “cyber incident.”

The hospital has hired “external cyber experts” to “resolve the issue.”

It says personal patient records, known as the “clinical Electronic Health Record(s)” are not affected.

“Delivering exceptional patient-centered care is the hospital’s top priority and CCH continues to provide high-quality clinical services,” the hospital said in a news release.

It says there may be some delays with scheduled or non-urgent care.

No other details were released.
