Update 6:24 p.m. Friday: Arrest in North Dundas school suspicious person case

WINCHESTER – Provincial police are looking into a case of a suspicious person around a North Dundas school.

SD&G OPP say the man was spotted around Winchester Public School on Louise Street around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 14).

Police did not elaborate on what the man was doing that made him suspicious.

An email from the school to parents says a man in a white car was questioning some students during recess through a fence on the property. When a teacher came up to the man, he drove away, the school said.

OPP are hoping someone may have been in the area who has dash cam footage around that time or more information on the person.

You can call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
