ALEXANDRIA – Glengarry Memorial Hospital is back to around-the-clock access to its emergency room.
The hospital had closed the emergency room during evenings and overnights on July 15 due to a staffing shortage.
A partial reopening on weekdays started three weeks later.
As of Monday (Aug. 22) the hospital says it can now open the ER fully because the closure has “allowed staffing to stabilize to a level that the organization” could handle normal operations.
