Editor’s note: The clothing description has been updated at 12:49 p.m. Monday. A family member told Cornwall Newswatch the hat Paul Bellemore was wearing was a Hurley hat, not a Harley hat as stated by Cornwall police. Also change of colour of sandals.
CORNWALL – A Cornwall Police Service spokeswoman says the disappearance of Paul Bellemore is “out of character” for the 43-year-old man.
Officers have been searching since late last week in the area around the Cornwall Civic Complex after Bellemore was reported missing.
He was last seen on the Friday before the Civic weekend (July 29) – his vehicle was found near the Water Street facility.
While saying they are following up on “all investigative leads,” CPS has been cagey with details of the search and resources being used.
“Police are unable to disclose specific tactics or areas as part of the investigation,” spokeswoman Stephanie MacRae told Cornwall Newswatch.
Police say they are trying to locate him for a well-being check.
Paul Bellemore is described as 5-foot-11, 150 pounds with green eyes and is balding with short brown hair.
He was possibly wearing a light coloured t-shirt with shorts, a grey Hurley hat and black sandals, according to family.
