LANCASTER – South Glengarry will hold a public meeting Monday on rezoning waterfront land in Lancaster for a future condominium development.
A developer wants to build nine condos and a common recreation area on 14 acres (5.6 hectares) of land on the west bank of the Raisin River, south of County Road 2.
The rezoning would allow for an existing garage to stay on the land plus reduce the minimum lot frontage from 40 meters to 8 meters (131 feet to 26 feet) on one of the lots.
The rezoning would still keep a holding provision in place until under the developer meets certain requirements since the land is in a floodplain.
The meeting is being held online and by phone at 6:30 p.m.
