NORTH STORMONT – A South Stormont man is facing a dozen charges in relation to a historical sexual assault investigation by SD&G OPP.
A 56-year-old man was arrested last week and charged with four counts of sexual assault on a person younger than 16, three counts of incest, two counts of invitation to sexual touching of someone younger than 16 and one count each of sexual interference, sexual exploitation and committing an indecent act.
Police had launched their investigation in North Stormont on March 7 after the allegation was reported to them before the man was arrested 10 days later.
“To protect the identity of the victim, the name of the accused will not be revealed to the public,” the OPP said in a statement.
Police add there is no risk to public safety.
