CORNWALL – The executive director of ACCFutures is leaving her position to take a job in the private sector.

Lesley Thompson will be manager of programs and government relations for Food Cycle Science Corporation. The company, which started in Cornwall, is known for creating the countertop contraptions that turn food waste into odourless soil.

Thompson had been with ACCFutures – previously known as Cornwall and the Counties Community Futures Development Corporation before a rebrand – for approximately seven years.

Thompson’s last day is Feb. 11.

ACCFutures says it plans to announce a replacement in the next two weeks.
