BERWICK – The North Stormont Fire Department has received a quantity of carbon monoxide detectors to keep community members safe from the silent killer.

The donation of 126 combination smoke and CO detectors was made through the public education campaign Safe Community Project Zero.

The units, donated Tuesday (Dec. 7) by Enbridge Gas, will be distributed through the fire department and its community partners.

Fire Chief Nancy-Ann Gauthier thanked the gas company for its generosity.
