Cornwall man has ‘wow moment’ with $69,000 lottery win

CORNWALL – A Cornwall man has struck it rich after winning just over $69,000 on a lottery ticket.

Pierre Deschambault won the second prize in the Sept. 15 Lotto 649 draw.

β€œIt was a wow moment! I was in total shock,” he told lottery officials when he picked up his prize in Toronto.

The 70-year-old grandfather plans to use some of the $69,111.70 he won to fix up his home and enjoy life.

The ticket was bought at Jean Coutu on Ninth Street in Cornwall.
