SD&G – There are a number of closures today on this Thanksgiving Monday (Monday, Oct. 11, 2021). Many banks, government offices and retail offices are closed. Here’s a list of other services affected:
Government and Retail
- The City of Cornwall, United Counties of SD&G, township and municipal offices will be closed. All offices reopen Tuesday morning.
- Cornwall Square is closed Monday.
- LCBO outlets in Cornwall and SD&G are closed.
- All Beer Store locations in Cornwall, Morrisburg and Alexandria are closed.
- Most retail stores are closed.
Garbage & Recycling
- In Cornwall, there is no garbage or recycling pickup today (Monday). Your pickup day will be delayed by a day this week. The landfill is closed.
- In South Stormont, there is no change to garbage and recycling pickup.
- In North Dundas, there is no change to roadside garbage collection. However, the Boyne Road landfill site is closed.
- In South Dundas, there are no changes to garbage and recycling.
- In North Stormont, there is no change to garbage and recycling collection. However, the Lafleche dump in Moose Creek is closed.
- In South Glengarry, your garbage or recycling won’t be picked up today (Monday). The collection will be delayed a day.
- In North Glengarry, garbage and recycling normally picked up today will be picked up tomorrow (Tuesday).
Transit
- Cornwall Transit is not running
Recreation
- In Cornwall, the Benson Center is open today (Monday) for regular programming. The Aquatic Center is closed.
Libraries
- The Cornwall Public Library is closed
- SD&G County Library branches are closed
