SOUTH MOUNTAIN – One person has been arrested after a standoff with police, north of South Mountain.
SD&G OPP were on the scene around 10 a.m. this morning (Friday) at a home near Nelson Road and County Road 1.
The person, only described at this point as an “adult person” – surrendered to authorities after crisis negotiators were on scene.
There were no reported injuries to the accused or officers.
The OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), Community Street Crime Unit and the OPP Canine Unit was also on scene and helped during the standoff.
