CORNWALL – A Cornwall man, already charged with possession and distribution of child pornography, is facing additional charges.
City police arrested 19-year-old Patrick Brownell on June 1 after he turned himself in at police headquarters. He was charged with possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography.
Police allege there was child porn found on an “electronic device” held by the accused between April and May after obtaining a search warrant to go through the man’s home in May.
Brownell had previously been charged on Nov. 25, 2020 after police obtained a search warrant to go through the man’s electronic device. Police say they found child porn “that had been distributed through the internet.”
A judicial pretrial on the earlier charges had been scheduled to happen last week (June 24) though it’s not known if that court date was derailed with the latest set of charges.
Brownell has a court date of Aug. 10, 2021 on the latest charges.
