CORNWALL – After 34 years, Cornwall and the Counties Community Futures Development Corporation is changing its name.
It will now be called ACCFutures – an acronym for Akwesasne, Cornwall and the Counties.
The organization notes the change comes at a time when it has expanded beyond its core federal funding, to include management of the Portlands – a joint land development venture between Akwesasne and Cornwall.
As for two of its projects, the Cross Border Partnership Program will be called ACCPathways and the Technology Innovation Program is now called ACCInnovation.
Executive Director Lesley Thompson says the new brand will be rolled out over the coming months.
