CORNWALL – A Cornwall city councillor is about to serve up a plan to attract more people to the city’s waterfront park.

Coun. Dean Hollingsworth will ask for council support Monday night (May 10) to get a staff report on building beach volleyball courts in the park.

His new business motion is supported by Coun. Eric Bergeron.

Hollingsworth believes having more recreational amenities in the park “will only increase the amount of users in the park” and that it’s an excellent summer sport for all ages.

Beach volleyball courts are among 16 recommendations for Lamoureux Park in the 2019 Cornwall Waterfront Master Plan.
