CORNWALL – If you get a Cornwall police text tomorrow afternoon (Wednesday), it’s not spam.

The Cornwall Police Service says it’s going to be pushing an SMS text message once to a bunch of city cell phones Wednesday at 4 p.m. with a link to invite input on its strategic plan.

It will come from the number 1-844-539-1378.

The police force put out an advisory today (Tuesday) to give people a heads up due to the amount of spam texts cell phone users receive.

CPS says it’s already received over 1,200 responses to input on its strategic plan but this avenue was a “new approach as a final push” to get more feedback.
