Drunk driving charges laid in pre-Christmas crash

SD&G – A woman severely hurt in a single-vehicle crash the day before Christmas Eve on a North Stormont county road is now facing two drunk driving charges.

SD&G O.P.P. announced today (Feb. 27) the 33-year-old driver is facing charges of impaired operation and having over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood, known as an “over 80” charge.

Police say the woman had “multiple injuries” in the Dec. 23, 2020 crash on County Road 43.
