Woman charged with breaking isolation law

CORNWALL – For a second time in a week, city police have charged someone with failing to follow a COVID-19 isolation order.

Police gave a Provincial Offences Act ticket to a 54-year-old woman.

She’s accused of leaving an “assisted care housing facility” with an outbreak on Saturday, Jan. 30 despite orders to isolate.

It was the second time within a week after police charged a 73-year-old man.

While both were described as an “assisted care housing facility,” police have not said whether the cases happened at the same place.
