CORNWALL – Hundreds of children were chauffeured through the east parking lot of the Cornwall Civic Complex Saturday night for a new twist on the Santa Claus Parade.
The stationary Christmas parade saw roughly a dozen floats from various organizations, first responders, local businesses and the City of Cornwall.
The parade ran from 4:30 p.m. and was scheduled to run until 9:30 p.m.
For those who didn’t have a ride, Cornwall Transit was ferrying people through the horseshoe shaped setup.
In what seemed like a repeat groundswell of the interest for the drive-through Halloween event, cars and trucks were lined up all the way down Water Street and up Brookdale Avenue as far as the Rotary Traffic Circle at times.
