AVONMORE – A crash between a truck and a horse and buggy in North Stormont has left two people seriously injured and has caused the death of one horse.
SD&G O.P.P. say the collision happened around 4 p.m. on Fairview Drive in Avonmore when the truck, travelling west, collided with the buggy being pulled by two horses.
Two adults in the buggy are being treated at hospital for serious injuries but are expected to survive.
The horses suffered serious injuries and one has died, police said.
A section of Fairview Drive between County Road 43 and St. John Street in Avonmore is closed for a police investigation.
